Mitchell has spent his 35-plus year career in a variety of corporate legal leadership and counseling roles, most recently serving as General Counsel North America for Solvay SA, and as a start-up business advisor and equity owner. He is a proven international and transactional lawyer and executive with global perspective, an excellent legal department management track record and strong leadership qualities.

 Mitchell’s diverse background includes numerous industries and five continents. His experience includes legal department leadership and management; counseling boards and top management; advising corporate development, strategy, treasury, supply chain, sales and marketing, and investor relations departments; and successfully negotiating and closing countless acquisitions, dispositions, IPOs and other securities offerings, and lending transactions. 

He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Mathematics from George Mason University.
